As a former teacher of 12 years and mother to a toddler, I bring a unique skill set that blends child development, early literacy and math instruction, and the nurturing of social skills in young children. I am passionate about supporting moms in their journey, not just as mothers, but as their children’s first and most influential teacher. I strive to empower both children and mothers on their journeys as lifelong learners. Children grow and discover the world around them, while each day brings new lessons for mothers as they navigate the beautiful and ever-evolving journey of motherhood. Our Story
After stepping away from my teaching career in 2023 to join my family’s business, I found myself with an overwhelming desire to create again. For the past 12 years, children have been my true passion, and while I knew I could still make an impact, I wanted to do so in a new and meaningful way. That’s when Little Linus was born. Originally, Little Linus Blanket Co. began as a personalized blanket business, but over time, I expanded my offerings to include not just blankets, but also educational resources designed to support both parents and children. So, as I began this journey, I knew that I wanted to create the absolute dream team! When I prayed about this business, God said "hire your teacher friends" and that's exactly what I planned to do. I started with these two amazing women, and can't wait to add more to the team as we grow!
Cortney Nugent has been teaching since 2015 and is currently a teacher at Covington High, teaching Adobe Premiere Pro. She is amazing at video editing so I knew she would be the perfect person to join the team, creating seamless and beautiful media for the company.
Emily Ennis is a 2nd grade teacher in Folsom, Louisiana, and has an absolute passion for teaching. Emily is one of those teachers that stays up until 2am making sure her lessons are aligned with the state standards, so I knew bringing her on to teach math would be such a blessing to your children. They're going to love learning from her!
